Of the two above, which would you pick for a week stay in October, and why? What would you say are the perks or downfalls of each?

If I had to pick, I would choose Bash tower.

Jacuzzi perks: Ground floor, all around the quiet pool, bar outside your room. No real negatives that I can think of.
Bash perks: Bigger room, bigger bathroom, seating area that is not your bed. The tower rooms give you access to the the skybar for free if you are not a member, probably a better view.

We've stayed in a jacuzzi room before renovations and it was nothing special. It was a free upgrade but I wouldn't pay for it.

    Hope that helps!

Thanks! We were mostly considering the jacuzzi room in case it rains during our stay lol

If it rains during your stay you guys just need to find where the party people are and carry on like normal....maybe pool bar, lobby bar, sports bar. They will be somewhere. October has great groups of repeaters!!

    What are your dates?

We will be there 10/25-11/2 hopefully. That being said, I guess we’ll have better things to do during Halloween week than to soak in a jacuzzi! Lol

Typing at the risk of being admonished by the “old man thread police” I’ll give my two cents....

A jacuzzi room is a small upgrade from a garden room. For that price it quarentees a first floor room around the quiet pool, and that is why we have booked it three times. A Garden room could be anywhere on the resort except a tower room, and some of those aren’t ideal. I thought a Tower room was a small bump up in $’s from a jacuzzi room, so price point you want to spend may have considerations.

We spent very little time at all in the room, so slightly larger room or bathroom wasn’t a selling point, but for some it is. Everyone seems to rave about the rooftop access in the tower, but at the same time seem to be trying to sell people to go there, because it’s so dead ‍♂️. So not sure on that. It wasn’t open when we were there.

The jacuzzi itself is rather small, and we didn’t use it on th last trip, largely because we spent time in the hot tub each day anyway. The previous trip, pre reno, we used it on a rainy day like you are referring about.

Looks like you're there 10/25-11/2? We're there 27th-3rd. Surprised Jacuzzi is still available. Orbitz shows only garden, bash tower, and penhouse available.

By all reports, the new Tower rooms are pretty nice, but you do have to deal with lots of steps or the elevator every time you want to go up/down. We usually like the Jacuzzi Rooms the best, since we stay on the ground floor most times, it's easy out to the pool area, Way fewer obstacles to get to/from the room, and it's a bit further away from Bash at night just in case some sleep becomes "required."

We like having jacuzzi time after Bash-time, too, so that's a thing.

I would be shocked if we ever paid for an upgrade... maybe for a special birthday celebration but I’m a garden view girl because we are never in the room. I would never turn down a free upgrade though ;)

I do find the bathrooms to be extremely small and very little storage so two sinks and a separate toilet area are a win in my books. FWIW I don’t really rave about the rooftop access. I spent an hour up there one day just to have lunch and so that I can say I was up there. I did not go in any water and I didn’t even look over the sides. Some people like to chill and that is a great location for that type of couple...not my scene. There was probably 50 to 75 people up there that afternoon.

Yeah, the bathrooms are small in the jacuzzi rooms. Except for the showers, they are fricking huge. Talk about a waste of space. Could have easily made the counter a double sink.

Or a double shower. At least in the room we were in...a double shower would've been awesome in there. If they would've moved the shower head and just had the one there wouldn't be as much water on the floor.

Old TTR had one section prior tot he reno that had a bunch of rooms with a double shower, complete with two rainfall showerheads, which WAS really cooltime/funtime if you and your other half, or other 2/3 want to do the communal shower thing. We like that. The Jacuzazi rooms have only the single shower head, but the space itself is pretty roomy.

I'm pretty sure all the Lush rooms are booked for that timeframe. The TTR website has them listed as "Wait List Only". This will be our first trip back since renovation so we splurged for a Lush Tower room to check it out, but in the past we've always gone with a cheap room close to the party. The best thing about the place is the people, so you'll be in good shape Halloween week no matter what room choice you go with!

I break it down as such:

If you are a member- I'd save the money and stay in the plush Jacuzzi rooms.
Non-member- go for the Tower for the extra perks.
