Hi all, we're due to stay at a neighbouring resort within easy walking distance of Desire. Just wondering if outsiders can park up on beach outside of Desire and make full use of the clothing optional area. Or are we likely to be chased away by security?

From our research we understand that beaches are federal property and open to the public.

    Cheers in advance.

Yes, all beaches in Mexico are public - FYI - the part that is generally considered public is just up to the high tide mark.

You could probably play in the water for a few minutes in front of Desire, but you can't park yourself on the beach or you will be asked to move along by Desire security.

btw - all resorts have security and security makes sure the beach area in front of each resort is only for the use of guests staying at that resort.

We agree with what Cokewithlime said above... but have one other suggestion.

We are parked on the beach while we are at Desire RM, and remember two times a couple or two couples walked by. They said "Hello" were friendly and stopped to talk to us and our friends.

They were clothed (we were not) so after a bit they stripped down.

With them visiting Desire guests (and not trying to order free drinks from the beach bar) security said nothing. We all had a great visit and they got to tan naked for close to 2 hours.

    Just a thought.
