Nice looking rooms that's for sure
Thanks for the pics. Worth looking into. Think we will have a visit to GOV on our next Cancun trip
Hmmm may have to see if they are doing trips to show off in June
Totally Confused about the Rooms.
Booking through Vacation Express it shows the standard room and the spice room. I've tried to find what the difference is and how to get what I want. I'm looking for a nice room with a balcony or the large windows that will slide all the way open. I'd also like to know which room to book with the Jacuzzi and can't find any information. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
From what Ive red the Spice rooms are standard rooms that have been renovated.
Some of the Spice rooms have balconies.
I have not seen the Jaccuzi room in any upgrades, they are renovating at this time maybe they have a limited quantity ???
I believe I read in another thread that all upgrades are done at check in.
That´s right, all the upgrades are done upon arrival
Selloff Vacations.com has standard rooms and Spice rooms
I feel just a bit safer spending just a few more dollars at Orbitz which allows free cancellations right up to 48 hours prior to arrival for this hotel. I originally booked at Expedia, but just canceled that and locked in the spice room with Orbitz. Expedia wanted a LOT more money for the spice room.
I remember Valentina saying that upgrades were done at check in, but if we purchase a spice room up front, its locked in...... correct?
Are all rooms really ocean view as advertised?
Yes. Totally face the ocean
We booked GOV for April 2014 & the rooms in the pic with the smaller windows but really cool, sultry decor are what they call Ocean Standard. Nice room to get ya/keep ya in the mood to stay in and the Cancun Beach gets ya in the mood to play out. Can't wait for both!
Easy Solution, since not everyone wants to perform a balcony show (though just about everyone FROM TTR wouldn't mind seeing one, let's make sure everyone who gets a room with balcony signs a "modesty waiver" upon check-in or offers the room to someone else who's willing to waive all modesty?!?
Seeing the rooms are non smoking, and you have to take elevator to go outside or stairs, smokers may like the balconies,,, non smokers may not like them.
I have to say, the décor is all over the place. There doesn't appear to be any specific "theme" like the tempting apples at TTR, which is fine. The red stucco walls freak me out though, so I will try to avoid those rooms.:sofa:Since I'm ranting, (too many Sunday a.m. DIY shows) I miss the authentic Mexican décor TTR had when it was BBG...tile and wood...casita or hacienda style. Now everything is so Vegas. Oh well, they didn't ask me. lol
They are in middle of upgrading rooms , hence the wide variety
Is this resort as much fun as Temptation? Resort looks great and is it owned by the same people?
No one knows how much fun it is yet. Its new. And no it is
is this a similar type of hotel to the TTR? same type of cround, etc?
Awesome!! Looks like a party room to us with the hot tub room.
