    Anyone could relieve my headaches?

    Whatever I try, 5244998..., 5245998.... nothing works.
Actually I call from Skype, but it is equivalent to abroad. The other numbers work.

I would really appreciate your help.

    Thanks a lot

Are you calling a cel phone, if so you don't need the 44 and you need to add a 1
    so it could be 0052 1 998 ....
If it's not a cel phone it would just be 0052 998...

    Hi Jen and Jen,

Since you live there and I don't, I won't know as well as you will how accurate this is, but if it's anywhere near the truth, then it certainly gives you some new alternatives to try.

    http://www.internationalliving.com/mexico/alerts/11-29-06-calling-mexico.html

And BTW, according to the SkypeOut cost table, it cost 33 1/2 cents USD per minute to call a Mexico cell phone using Skype, so the normal advantages to using Skype may not apply here.

    Hope it helps.
    Thx & Take Care

When I dial a Mexico cell phone from here in New York City, I now have to dial a 1 after the country code. I also never dial a 44, ever. What you should try is to dial the country code, then a 1, and then the last ten digits. For example, if I dial a cell phone number in Cancun it would look like this:
    011-52-1-998-192-2007

    I hope this is helpful,

This thread had me thinking, so I went ahead and called (using Skype) someone I know is in Cancun with a cell phone.

Eric's process (same as the one in the reference) 521 998 XXX XXXX

(Yes, I know that's not how it's formatted in Mexico,
but that's how it's formatted in my head)

worked perfectly. (note that with Skype you don't dial the 011 at the beginning).

    Hope that helps.

Thanks you all. Actually I AM abroad.... from Mexico

Skype is so much cheaper than any other option... Even from a normal number to a normal number inside Mexico, in daytime

I am going to try a bit later, but I have hopes now, since you all know.
    :D

    No confusion here.
Not sure of Jen tried it yet.

Country code (52) then (1), then the 10 digits, starting with 998 for Cancun, worked for Skype.

From a (non Skype) phone, one would also have to dial the 011 first to let the phone know that you want to call international, but with Skype and the other VOIP programs where you have to use a computer to make the call, it knows that already.
