We just got back and this is how we rated Temptations:
Food (9) could be a 10 if the breakfast varied a lil day to day
Service (10) These people work their butt off..always with a smile..
Beverage Selection (9) very good selection
Rooms (9) very clean, not too dated..everything worked
Beaches (8) not bad..not rocky at all..nice white sands..
Entertainment (8) not bad..Live band at Paty O's was great
Ok ..here comes the bad news..
DJ ( 000) You had better like head splitting Techno Music..starting at the Sexy Pool around 10ish in the morning until they close down..Playing the same 4-5 song loop non stop..so when most people couldn't handle that anymore they moved to the quiet pool, the beach , or their room.
So then you enjoy a great meal at one of the many restraunts..and head out for the evening to Paty O's..SURPRISE..same flippin DJ that was at the pool all day now brought his head splitting Techno Crap to Paty O's for the evening.
We and others that we talked to had requested to change it up ..Classic rock..New Age..World..Hell even Gospel music would of been a pleasant change. But he would just ignore all requests..same few song loop all nite
So to that we say..When you ditch the DJ and Non Stop Techno..let us know and we will be back.
Maybe if enough people complain to management..They will make a change.
    Nice resort..our suggestion..bring your MP3 or I Pod,maybe ear plugs .

The music is definitely a bit repetitive

While the DJ does seem to play alot of the same stuff I kind of don't even realize it since I am having so much fun with everyone there. I can listen to about anything I want at home but the people at TTR is what makes me want to go back year after year. It is funny how you don't even notice the music much when you got great people around you.

Your should try TTR Cabo...they don't play hardly any Techno...it's mostly John Denver, Anne Murray and Billy Ocean!

[ame=]Billy Ocean - Caribbean Queen (Live) - YouTube

    Sorry couldn't resist...LOL

LOL, Jeff agree's with this post, same music over and over a good DJ should know what to play for the crowd.
I say don't listen, I've never really noticed, told him that after a week everything is the same... he said well not everything always new boobies to look at...LOL

No kidding. We thought the music in Cabo was pretty bad. Before the tunes would start for the day, we would be out there with our ipod speakers playing something we enjoyed. And that's how we met TK-n-KK...KK came over and said "I had to come over and meet the people playing Kenny Chesney music and the "I like boobs." t-shirt." Then everything else was a blur...with bad music.

Comments like this from people you meet at TTR is what makes the repetitive music the last thing on your mind. Cann't wait to see you both also and the many new friends that I will meet during MAYhem

Like Rob and Melissa have siad it is the people that make the trip. I love the time that spend with friends there and the music well I love to dance so I love it too. I can't imagine what the atmosphere would be like there if they played country all day long. I can only listen to my wife left me so many ways. Yes, I do like even some country music, rock, techno, dance and even pop music. When it comes to music if my body moves it is all good. I am glad that over all you had a good time but for me the music isn't what I focus on there. 8 years agon whenit was BBg they used to play a bunch of mexican songs that weren't legal in the US. Trust me it is way better now.

we were at the Grand Palladium in Jamaica a few years ago and they played the same songs over and over again also. It didnt seem to bother me at all as I downloaded some of them to my mp3 player when I got home!! Every time it plays it reminds me fondly of Jamaica.

Got to agree with you the Techno crap sounds like an old skipping vinyle record playing over and over, but they do have to play a mix, unfortunately there not doing that.
True if the right people are there you can party to almost anything, but some variety would be nice .
The DJ think they can be famous like this guy, and won't even take any requests,,,sad.

Ha ha but my ganga days were over upon college graduation. The funny thing is they have the best reggae singers in the world in Jamaica and they played a reggae group of white guys from Switzerland. Go figure. But the music was good tho. Yves Larock.........listen to Rise Up and Say Yeah. Youtube it

Thanks for the trip report! I like Techno so everything you said and the way you rated things is great for me. My fiancee will get sick of it i am sure, but I will be happy with techno every day.
