Actually, the letter is from Apple, but it is regarding my future stay at Sens.

To: Clients Holdin Reservations at Oasis Sens

Description: Effective travel August 1st 2014 and onward. Oasis Sens is converting to Spicy & Enhanced Adult Concept.

Description: Minimum age requirement will now be 21 years of age and older. The hotel will also adapt an optional topless bathing area at the Sunset Pool location along with Sultry Nightly entertainment at the Kinky Club Bar. There will be no change to room amenities.

    * An exciting, sexy and diverse culinary experience
*Sultry nightly entertainment including our "Kinky Bar"
    * Hotels' exclusive Pirate NIght on board the Captain Hook for an adult only evening, once a week.
*A fun and sexy activitity program to include yoga and Pilates, pool and beach games, water activities, DJ parties, dance lessons, contests, and more....
*An adult environment designed for playful adults that want to enjoy a combination of a great resort, topless optional pool, fantastic beach, full service Spa and very complete culinary program.

If you require further assistance regarding this change, you may contact Specialty Services at (800) 365-2775, Extension 5282

    ********* ************** ************* ***

I wonder if the change will be obvious to how it is operating now, to how it will operate starting on Aug 1st? There really doesn't seem to be a whole lot of interest out there on this hotel, which surprises me, and does worry me a little. The reviews, however, have been pretty good on this hotel for quite some time, now. Most of the negative reviews seem to be written by people who are upset by inconsequencial (by my standards) things, or it sounds like they had really bad luck, or had one bad thing happen to them in the beginning, and decided right away to not like the resort. Well, that is what I am hoping, anyway.
A lot of things that people complain about could happen (and have happened to us) at ANY resort, including the more expensive places.
You can get a room with bad air, you don't like the food, the front desk is nasty and not helpful (can't say this has ever happened to me, although just about every resort out there has reviews about the dreaded front desk people) stuff gets stolen out of the room (also never happened to us)
mini fridge doesn't work, toilet doesn't flush, and on and on and on.

Count on an honest and thorough review when I get back from our October vacation! Anybody going between now and then --especially after Aug. 1st, I'd REALLY appreciate your feedback on the place! :fish:

That sounds exactly like what oasis viva was supposed to be.
I fell for it and booked last May.
There was nothing sexy at all about viva.
I have 3 free days to use at any oasis hotel but, don't want
to risk another partially blown vacation.

I mentioned I'd heard rumours a while back, but can now confirm that the latest from Senior Oasis Management is that the concept previously at Viva will be transferred to Sens.

Let's remember that with Viva they didn't exactly give up on the 'enhanced adults only concept' they sold the property.

    LOL!

I'm sure that as with most resorts, the atmosphere will have a lot to do with the people who are there, at any given time.

I am not expecting a lot in October. But I didn't want to spend a lot, and I wanted an all adult, in Cancun. I hope our room is fine, our toilet works, and the a/c is good enough. It doesn't have to blast, but I want to be cool enough while getting ready for dinner, and for sleeping. It would be nice if the food tastes reasonably good. I'd like there to be nice drinks -- that is pretty important to me. Doesn't even need to be top shelf booze, just decent drinks, not too sugary/syrupy on the blender drinks.

A lot can be overlooked if the place is rockin' and fun. I'm almost 52, but I don't like quiet, fancy, boring resorts.

I do expect a very nice beach, and the pools look awesome, so I hope I'm not disappointed there. The pictures are pretty much why I picked this place. We've been staying in Playa or vicinity for a while -- and I really missed having a pool with the ocean view!

Whatever happens, I'm sure it will be better than a week at work. :icon_lol:

    prices...

Well I just checked prices(on the main site for each resort), and between the 2 there is a $800usd difference in a weeks stay between TTR and Sens. Not sure, but a almost a $1K difference in a week, much bigger pool(s), a killer beach and crystal clear ocean, and a much better looking resort would make me give it a try.

For 1 week staying prime time in March 14th-21st

    Destination: Cancun Hotel: Oasis Sens
    Room Type: STANDARD
Cost Per Adult: $973 Total: $1946

    Temptation Resort & Spa Cancun
Deluxe Garden (Max. Cap. of 3 in room)
    Totals
    $2,776.20

The only problem is to get 200 of your TTR friends to simultaneously follow you .

And, Oasis Sens is already an adults only property, so it doesn't have to transform that much. The show they had the one night we stayed was very sexy. We personally loved the place, of course I'm sure it will not measure up to most TTR regulars but it is a beautiful property. Cost wise, I am not sure, I would want to do Club level if I went again and that is much higher than TTR. We do have 3 free nights we will be using next May after our TTR trip.

We are staying in the Club Room when we go - sure hope we get a good one. (My husband doesn't know I did the room upgrade, it's his birthday)

I could have almost booked RIU Palace Peninsula for what I paid including the upgrade (they were running a deal) but I was just more excited to stay in an adult only place. I know pretty much what I'd be getting at the RIU --- it would be very nice, probably very fun, and yet -- I just couldn't get that excited about it, and kept going back to look at pictures and reviews of the Sens.

Sometimes you just have to take a chance, and see what happens.

Make sure you go directly to VIP registration and not the front desk if you booked a club level. We made them show us three rooms before we got the one that was beach view. Unbelievable view. Wish we had more than that one night. Get them to explain all the perks of club level so you can take advantage, you do get free wi fi. Oh and remember everyone, don't let the lady or guy standing behind you at registration give you a "tour" it's the timeshare trap, I already knew better because I saw them at Viva all week long. Just get the map, if you need directions ask a staff person

Hmm... wish I could find more out about this. Not posted on their website or facebook page from what I can see. If I was sure this would be implemented August 1st, I would seriously consider changing my reservation for the first week of August from Viva to Sens.

Please see my rebuttal in the other thread. I mis-spoke about the August 1 switch-over. It's actually Sept 1. Go have fun! Go topless and be thong-tastic!

Sept 1 for the GOV to Dreams switch, but Aug 1 for the Oasis Sens switch from adult to 21plus, Spicy and Enhanced.

So, how is the beach at Sens. On our trip to GOV last Nov, the USA transfer driver got confused and took us to Sens instead. Probably not going to affect TTR that much, but quite a few of the Golden fans might be tempted. (like us). Part of my wifes anatomy is enhanced and they are really a lot of fun!!!

Being on the big beach is a HUGE thing for us - the dirty (seaweed) water at TTR is really a buzz kill - again, for us.. We take the bus to Dolphin Beach a couple days each stay and walk to the end near the Hilton. Give us another adult option that has sexy dancing at night and count these two non daytime drinkers in. Hope they complete what GOV tried this time..

As far as the price increase we feel TTR is super cheap, the adult experience is well worth the extra $1k-ish for us. We checked out Live Aqua last week which is adult only but very sedate, much like Le Blanc. Really surprised TTR has kept their rates so low with what seems to be endless near full capacity.

    LMAO

Do you think it will worth and i'll give it a try ?

NEVER and NEVER I will EVER stay in another property that OASIS OWNS.

Been twice, and been disappointed twice.

I'm pretty sure they sold GOV because almost everything was need to be fixed.
and of what I heard, oasis sens it's like Puerto Vallarta !
