Hello! Trying to decide which of these restaurants we want to try. What is dinner and entertainment like at both? Anyone have any opinions? Thanks.

    Hello Mike, Welcome to CancunCare.com!

I haven't been to Mango Tango but I have been to Perico's. I highly reccomend Pericos! It is the most fun you will ever have with your clothes on in Mexico!

Plan on spending a few hours there. You will want to take in several of the shows. They get better throughout the night. Hint: If you have a pretty lady with you, they will include you or her in many of the shows.

I was very drunk when we left. I don't remember how much the bill was but it was reasonable by American standards.

    Enjoy,
    Sparkey

Mango Tango has an actual show that you can watch while you have dinner. Perico's doesn't have an actual show going on, they just have a bunch of staff that go around, pull jokes, they do a couple of dances and songs here and there, etc etc.

I've been to Mango Tango but just missed the show because I went too late.

Mango Tango is in the hotel zone and classier than Perico's which is located downtown.

    Hope that helps!

    Elizabeth,

Thanks so much for the info! I assume dress is casual (shorts, sandals) at both?

    thanks,

Yes. But you can certainly dress it up if you want to!

I've seen the show at Mango Tango and while it is very nice, it is a show.

Perico's is much more of a guest participation thing. The staff is great and totally gets you into the fun and swing of things.

As Sparkey said, go there expecting to be there for several hours. It is not a place for a quick bite to eat. But, you will definitely have a fun time.

I would choose Perico's over Mango Tango anytime!

This sounds like my kind of place. Lia is going to have to drag me out of this place. Come to think of it, she may have to carry me too.

    thanks again,
    mike and lia

I know that this is an 'old' thread, but I am researching restaraunts and ran across this about Perico's. Fun perhaps, but apparently not as straightforward about the cost of that fun as we might like.
