The hubs and I have booked our first trip to Temptation October 19-23 and we are extremely excited and can’t wait. However, we are not totally sure what to expect and are a little nervous. We have a few question if y’all would help us out it would be greatly appreciated.

In some post we noticed that guest party in their rooms. Do you have to go to the bar to get alcohol or can you bring small bottles in luggage?

Do you go thru customs when arriving in Cancun? If so, what should we expect?

Theme nights sound Amazing but are a little intimidating to this newbie. We want to participate but not sure how we should dress. (Example: Neon/Glow/Rave with tutus and feather boas) Can anyone share any photos of theme nights?

We will be traveling by ourselves and would love to meet and hang out with some new friends/couples.

Thank you in advance for any advice/suggestions! Can’t wait to see you all at the Sexy Pool!!

Customs in Cancun is a breeze. Nothing to worry about there. Theme nights are what you make them. Glow night is sexy glow in the dark stuff. Go wild no one knows or cares. You can buy and bring your own alcohol to you rooms. If you go with USA Transfers they will even make a stop at the store on the way to TTR. Vacation is what you make it. If you want to go wild you can if you just want to relax and watch then thats fine too. TTR is awesome and Im sure you will be a repeat customer.

Welcome to the party! You certainly can bring alcohol. If you use USA Transfers for the ride from the airport the driver will make a stop for you to get it along the way if you ask. Just let them know when you get in. They're more than happy to accommodate. Many people love USA Transfers for this and their prompt, professional service. You can find a link for them on this site. Others will hop across the street when they get to TTR to get what they need since there are a couple pharmacies / convenience stores right across the street, and another small shop just outside the front door and to the left maybe 50 yds. Some even stop at a local Walmart on the ride from the airport!

Depending on when you get in, the customs check is usually fairly quick. Sometimes we've been from plane to front door in 20 minutes. Other times slightly longer. Mid-day flights for us are usually quick to get through. They're good at processing large groups of people every day at this airport. BRING A PEN with you on the flight down! They will hand out a couple forms to fill out on your flight, with a little info about your travel plans. You will want to have the forms filled out before you land. When you get off the plane you will be shuttled down a few long hallways then into a very large room with the customs booths at the end of the line. They'll give it a very quick, totally bored look and a slap with the stamp, and you're on your way to pick up your luggage. With your luggage gathered up you'll make your way through one final stop where a very random luggage scan takes place. It's no big deal. Then the most arduous part of the airport begins as you run the gauntlet of service providers, excursion providers, and the real pro's, taxi drivers await. Like the Salmon heading upstream, stay in the middle to avoid the bears! It's really not bad. If you use USA Transfers they will be waiting near the curb outside and they always have a white shirt with their logo sewn on. They're great.

The theme nights are a BLAST! We've always enjoyed participating. Many do, but some do not. Either way is O.K, but it always seems to liven things up for us to be part of it. Where else can you dress up like this? And pretty much anything does with the outfits. Some get very sexy but you will need pasties at least if you go minimal on the costume. Check out some of the pics in our profile albums to see a few we have done, and there will be plenty of other members with pics to check out as well. That should get you started, and then it's sexy costume shopping time. Like Amazon doesn't show up enough already!

Glad you will be joining us! You'll have a great time! And don't be shy about asking any and all questions on here. People will be happy to help with everything from where to find sexy suits to sun lotion.

Yall are going to have a blast! Just let loose and don't be nervous. We went for the first time in July. We went to every theme night, and had SO MUCH FUN! Like John and Stephanie said, we ordered most of our stuff from Amazon (I put some pictures below of my outfits, glow, throwback, heaven/hell) Some people where almost nothing, some people don't dress up at all. There is a mix of everything so wear what you want! You can definitely have alcohol in your room. There is a mini fridge in the room. The entertainment staff is amazing and helps get everyone involved and don't be shy to talk to people. We met some awesome people that we plan to meet back at TTR on another trip soon. Biggest piece of advice is go with an open mind and have a blast. Hope yall have an amazing trip and cant wait to hear about it after here in the forum!

    Safe travels,

    Beth and Brian

Isn't there an added charge for a stop at the store en route from the airport to TTR? I was under the impression that there was.

We've made a stop on two different trips but only at a convenience store after we told the driver what we wanted. It was no problem for a quick stop, and we did not venture off the usual route to the hotel, so perhaps if you were heading to Walmart or for more extended shopping they might charge a bit more. We just gave him a little better tip.

Typically it is $30 for USA Transfers to stop at Walmart or the liquor store.

We find bringing liquor from home is cheaper than that option and cheaper than getting duty free at either our airport and especially Cancun airport. You can legally bring in 3 liters per traveler to Mexico.

You are going to have the time of your life! I was really excited but nervous before our first trip, so I totally understand what you're going through!

    1. You can bring alcohol, but why? You've paid for all you can drink (and more) with your reservation. No reason to BYO unless there's a specific liquor you can't live without. There's a duty free shop in the airport, so you don't have to drag it all the way to Mexico in your luggage.

    2. Go online and fill out the immigration form and print it before you go: Mexico Tourist Card You'll give it to the customs agent when you land in Mexico. Also, arrange your transfer to the hotel ahead of time (USA Transfers is awesome. There's a link in one of the stickies at the top of this forum) Once you clear customs, you'll walk down a hall full of people offering you transfers and tours. Just ignore them. They are ALL timeshare sales. All of the cabs and transfer companies are OUTSIDE.

    3. Click on our profile and go to our media, and you'll find photos of theme nights from some of our past trips. My advice is to plan layers and options. I like to start in something just a little sexier than I'd do at home, but be able to strip down to next to nothing (pasties and a thong, if you're daring) if the mood is right. (BTW, my friend wore a feather boa and regretted it--hot and itchy, and the feathers stick to sweat....)

    4. There will be a roll call for your dates. Make sure to post and get to know some of the people on here ahead of time. When you get there, you'll find that people are all eager to meet new people to party with. You'll have no trouble. Some people can be intimidated when they first arrive and see big groups clumped around the sexy pool; however, many of those groups are people who have all just met each other, and they're always welcoming to newbies. A great ice breaker is, "Hi, it's our first day here ever...." and see what happens!

Right--of course! My mind is mush at that time of day. Thanks for not slamming me with a giant "DUUUUUUUHHH! Every heard of something called 9/11????" :)
