Well said! Yes, Darwin (Natural Selection) usually shows up where alcohol is involved. I personally call it the "bicycle helmet law" since I grew up before it was "illegal" to ride a bike as a kid WITHOUT a helmet....now we have a bunch of "kids" that never learned that a tree or cement wall will always win against an 8 year old on a 10 speed and they go on to get drivers licenses.....

bahahahaha, too true.......... and don't forget the adults in parking lots with smarts enough to walk in front of 3 tonnes of glass and steel rolling in their general direction (cars) without looking. Because, well, "the other guy is supposed to watch out for me!" then teach it to their kids too. Uh-huh, now that's intelligent.

Personally, I blame Raffi lmao............. "cross the road slowly"?!?!? I know! Let's stay in the path of death as long as we can! Safety first!!!

You have our votes as well. Can we also vote for the large jacuzzi to stay heated longer as well. Say maybe until 2 or 3 am.....

Uhm.. we are only arriving for our first visit on the 24th so no expert on this but isn’t there this little body of water (aka as the Gulf of Mexico) just past the beach for said individuals to randomly drown themselves in? Surely the pool being open later is a safer idea? Agreed some overnight maintenance is required at some point but closing at 7 does seem a little ridiculous.

I don't know how safe the water is at night. We have been told politely to get out of the water at night. I am not sure if crocodiles are out at night or not but I don't want to find out.

Maybe keeping the rooftop pool open would be better than the quiet pool? The rooftop one is long and skinny, which will discourage drunks from diving, and it would be easier for everyone in the pool to watch out that others are not sinking. That would also keep the quiet pool rooms quiet for those people who book them specifically for that reason.

Plus the stripper poles are at the rooftop pool. :D

I love your way of thinking... especially since we’re staying in the Bash Tower. Not sure how they’d get around the $20 access fee however.

Good to know - wasn’t sure if people went for moonlit skinny dips. Large reptiles would definitely put a downer on that!

$20 access fee could be waived at night. That pool is close to Bash, and it makes sense to have the pool party there so the party essentially stays all in one place. Just my 2 cents, I have no pull ;)

There can be jellyfish in the ocean and sea lice which is one of the issues with the night dipping in the ocean. It seems crazy that the hot (warm) tub isn't open late.....

I am wondering if a "group" couldn't rent the rooftop pool for an evening? Could pay for a lifeguard and more? Is there an events coordinator or concierge? Never been but we have done this in other hotels as "money talks". Not something people want to do at an all inclusive but, if it's not on the menu, sometimes you got to pay......maybe just offer a nighttime "cover charge" and staff appropriately. Another income stream is always a plus for a business.

That will be an individual comment.
Creating a "multi-voice" request, like this thread here, where people (GUESTS) express their wishes regards an open pool over night would be much better, especially if someone from the site administration will forward our votes to the TTR Management.
But for this we need more and more PRO votes...

True. I just figured people more eloquent than me could try flooding an inbox with spirited requests vs. one "petition-like" request coming from the site admin. I'm not sure which would be more effective with TTR mgmt but it doesn't hurt to do both.

I can pretty much assure you that @Steve will NOT pass on any such petition. Steve does not believe it his job to tell the hotel how to run its business.

I am guessing that one or more of the "powers that be" follow these forums, so it certainly doesn't hurt to continue to express our opinions. I'll add my vote for keeping either the rooftop or the Bash hottub open until the wee hours.

I agree, and did contact them, they receive a big enough number they may respond.
