    We were there 10-29...11-05 and the pool was really too cold. If they have a way of heating it, they should. If they dont, then its up to mother nature. We actually felt what we thought was "hot" water coming out of some of the jets. It was MUCH warmer than the pool water. But yeah, everyone was commenting on the cold water. No way we'd make it in Jan-Feb.

    As far as the depth...it's not too bad. The problem with lowering it is the drains are on the top edge of the pool so the water has to sort of "lap" over the sides to drain. Bad design IMO.
    The only problem we had with depth was during the foam party .....the suds got VERY thick and VERY high and my wife said she couldnt breathe and I sucked some in and got choked. It (foam)was at least a foot over our head, and it does displace oxygen. So just an FYI if you are on the shorter side. Lesson learned. :)
    Other than that, the new pool is great it really wasnt a big issue for us.

    I tend to agree with what your saying, except when you say the pool was "really too cold", and then say it wasn't a big issue. I think people expect a warm pool for all of the activities. We thought it was warm enough, barely, and we were there same time as you.

    I wonder if it will be cooler in April than it has been in the past? And as far as depth I think the new depth with be perfect.

    I wonder how much the pool temp discussion is based on where people are from. I have been in the pool in May, Aug and Sept and to me, it's too hot to even be in. I understand they are the months it's super hot down there so the pool is warm, but some friends have been like "this is perfect", I just look at them and laugh, as I am 2 bandana deep already, and I feel like I sitting in the sauna.

    I just feel the temperature is just so subjective, it's almost impossible to say it too hot or too warm. If it was 10 degrees colder, I wouldn't have to force myself to get in it.

    It’s certainly subjective. One day I walked around the perimeter for quite awhile in the few inches of water, and really thought it was too cold, and many said it was. Got in, moved around, and it was fine. Many disagreed though.

    IMO it also greatly depends on the air temp. If it's 100deg outside, 80 deg water will feel a nice cool. If it's 85deg outside (breezy and cloudy) and the water's 80 - the pool will feel uncomfortably cool. This was the case during Halloween. But we still had a great time!

    All i know is every time we have been in April the water is like bath water temp not refreshing at all. Not sure if that was due to the depth, air temp, size of old pool or the amount of people in the pool?

    That should have read...."the depth" really wasnt a big issue for us. The temp was. We arent used to pool water that cool. Still didnt mean we didnt get in and try to acclimate.

    Almost everyone we hung out with, us included, bitched about the water temp, water level, running out of grey goose/fireball, uncomfortable chairs, some shitty meals, some long wait times for drinks, room functionality problems, etc etc. Yet we all said - best vacay ever! So I guess it wasn't that bad... human nature is to find the worst in everything, yet we are drawn to the fun we can't find anywhere else on earth. So for those contemplating - just do it;)

    It's a real problem. Anyone who is 5' tall, it's a real challenge to just be IN the pool, and you've got to be up over 5'6" before it stops being a thing. Stacia spent a total of about 2 minutes in the pool this past Halloween trip (at 5'1"). It won't be fun come August when the sun's blazing and the pool, while probably cool, will still be too deep. I'd like to hear the engineering concept behind deepening it about a foot? Anyone know or have any ideas?

    They made a huge mistake with the pool depth. Short of closing the pool, or an area of it, not sure what the fix is.

    Or.......... heres a thought maybe the designers / management wanted to save money on chemicals so by making the pool deeper it discourages people staying in the pool for hours on end without exiting to go to the bathroom etc .
    Therefore saving on the massive doses of whatever to purify the water everyday from all the body fluids .

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I bought my wife a pair for a few thousand $$$
    The kind I got for her are filled with salt water, which makes for little better floatation devices.
    Other uses for them can be pillows, beer holder, aids in event of car collision, etc.
    I was thinking today about how many people go to Temptation when it is cold in their own country... given that the nature of Temptation means that people are drawn to the sexy pool, with the new depth, that equals no tan for the majority of females!
    Living in a northern country, with a wet summer (very, very wet...), I guess I will always be on the edges, catching what Sun I can!!!
    Guess the key is to attract the crowd there too!!! Lol....
    I'll volunteer my back, or my front, if any ladies want to jump on for a little more height in the water. Of course, it's merely to help them all out. :D
