Done the search button. Doesn't tell us Prices or what we get for money? Read all perks etc, but obviously it's more beneficial to hotel than to customers else they wouldn't sell it

Not something that we try to talk about too much on the forum because we have been asked to be respectful because it isn't a place for sales or pitching referrals.

Which is why you do the vaction time investment if you are serious.
Evr buy a car or house?
You have to negotiate your deal for your own ptions, perks and package.
It is not an off the rack purchase.
You to tailor the deal to your own needs.
Hence the time commitment on site.
What others' have purchased, has so many variables that asking for the crib notes on here is rather irrelevant.

Your posts have a negative bias, that, it is a waste of time and structured to hotels advantage.
So just enjoy your vacation and ignore the sales staff

Agree with @marshe - it's a little like buying a car. When choosing a car you could buy a Volkswagen or you could buy a Porsche, you can choose add ons for each or just go for a basic model. You negotiate with the sales guy and decide whether it is a good fit for your holiday plans and whether you think it is value for money according to your means. Different people have different views on what is value to them, and different people have different financial means. There is no price list like a restaurant menu.

Of course it is skewed in favour of Premier coming out on top, otherwise why run a business that loses money?

The way Premier come out on top is that many people buy in and either never use it or not frequently enough. I've seen so many people selling their membership and they say things like, "bought 4 years ago, never used it, 500 nights remaining, unlikely to return due to financial issues". People lose jobs, relationships end, people get sick, people die, kids arrive - all sorts of reasons why a 25 yr commitment that sounds good at the time can change.

Then there are some people who milk it for all its worth and then some, they are the ones that do get good value out of it and save a lot of money. But probably a minority, if everyone did so then Premier would lose money and they don't.

You have to decide whether you can save or whether it will cost, and go from there.

    @Steve..
That is the absolute best post I have ever seen you make on this polarizing subject.
You summed it up and articulated way better than I did and nailed it perfectly

Yup the fundamentals of purchasing or not is very well conveyed.
To make a wise purchase of a membership or not is in the details.
And the only way to get the vital details is to endure the 2 or 3 or more hours across a bargaining table as you and I well know.

Slightly bias as run shops on a static caravan site and see people everyday locked into agreements they don't want, makes us more careful. But if used alot can see benefits. We have been 5 times in 6 years 14 nights a time and would have been more but for the re fit. But whether we could use more than 28 days a year, im not sure, so maybe more partying and less sales talk for now. Thanks for your advice

I'm going for the talk next month. We used a referral a few years back and did the talk then, but it really didn't make much sense when the travel companies over here were offering us deals much less than Premier could ever match. Now the prices have gone up, a deal might be more realistic. I know it'll still cost more, it's how much more per night I'm willing to pay for Premier perks. Some would say not a lot, but I'm lazy and picky. I like the idea of free room service, top shelf booze and someone bringing me food to the pool. I would use that perk every damn day.

If I die before I use all these 342 remaining nights I am going to be so fracking pissed.

When we bought there actually wasn't that much of difference between the two packages, so it just made sense. Plus planning on at least 2 weeks vacation a year is always my goal. So that's 25 years of vacations, and that doesn't have to be just at Temptation if you trade them to go other places. Oh and I bought before the closure on my 34th birthday, so I better have lots more vacation in me.
