How would you rate the beach and why?
Sucky because it sucks.
Ha sorry but yeah it isn’t the best. Most people hang by the pool which is where the party is.
I see from another post that you have been to breathless. If beach matters a lot I would stick w breathless.
If you are looking for more fun, better party (with more limit pushing themes) then TTR is worth trying.
Oh and specifically why. It it more like a bay with boats docked at both ends. The water has less waves than breathless and doesn’t have as pure sand or as blue waters
We love a nice beach, but feel like we can get that if we go on excursions or go down the beach a ways. We were hoping the beach would be nice, but we can't pass up a good party
On a slightly more positive note. It does have more naked boobs than your average beach, it is close to the party, and you can actually get in the water there, even if the water isn't the best. At Golden Parnassus the waves were so large most of the time you really couldn't get in at all. Don't know how that compares to Breathless.
We are very excited to party and mingle.
No one has mentioned the sea lice, that aren't actually lice at all......or the raw sewage entering the bay about 150 yards to the left..............
....so glad those rumors aren't true!
Raw sewage? There is a white plastic pipe on the bottom across TTR beach, coming from the dock where boobs cruise starts. TTR maintenance could not explain what the pipe is for. For good swimming and snorkeling, take a catamaran trip from TTR to the swimming place they know. They do trips daily.
It appeared in April they were pumping in sand from deeper water to build up the beach. If you go up to the SkyBar you can definitely see it ad you could see the sand flowing in a haze like fashion. You could also definitely see the white sandy patches forming. And the maintenance guys would move the hoses around each day. The ends of the hoses were marked by little floats.
Dont know if this is legal hence they may be keeping it on the down low.
I think I have several photos but dont know how well they show it.
Will compare in Aug to see if there is any change.
Also there were the 2 guys in the water in long sleeve white tshirts on their knees up to their necks each morning digging up rocks over near the small TTR dock and throwing them under/near the dock.
I think this has bern the case for awhile.
And every morning there is the seaweed beach clearing/raking patrol.
All in all I think they are trying to make a better beach.
As others have said it is not a ocean surf beach but more of a tranquil bay beach with little to no wave action.
The beach is no Bueno, although they have really improved it over the last couple years. The pool is so much fun that you will forget about the beach. But you are right, you're just a short bus ride from plenty of good beach if that's your thing.
We have a bunch of TTR veteren smoker friends whom love to start each day early at the beach before heading up to the Sexy Pool for the afternoon.
At the beach they smoke at will and recover from the evening before.
They also like to sit at the beach Premier Bar.
We join them often but dont smoke.
If you have been on the beach you know it is a quiet chill atmosphere where you can hardly hear the Sexy Pool activities.
With a short walk you are there...bam!
It is just a different place to hang and with a different vibe just like the Quiet Pool and SkyBar and much better than attempting recovery in your room!
We really like the beach at Temptation... because while we're at/on that beach with our feet int he water... all we have to do is turn around, walk 50 feet, and Bam! Up the steps and back intot the Party!!
Stephanie says she gives the beach a 10 on days she is hung over and has to chill, and it is still close to the pool and friends, which is nice. It's pretty because of the white sand and palm tress for shade, but nobody is ever going to film a Corona commercial there. Overall, it's not bad. It doesn't have the big waves because it is on the wrong side for that, but it feels damn good between your toes anytime. It's more like a lake beach.
Don’t go the beach at Temptation. My friend got Cellulitis.. a bacterial infection from the water. She went into the water on Wednesday and since then her skin started itching. We reached home yesterday and first thing she did visit an urgent care...
Is the beach at Temptations better than the beach at Temptation
It's like a ball of confusion.
The beach is not glamorous, but when the need to chill hits and you can't make it back to your room, a lounge chair under the shade of a tree is pretty hard to beat.
After working ED nursing for way too long, I just had to add my 2 cents. I have seen and worked with many who have had cellulitis . It’s a very common condition that bring many to the ED. One of two things happened here. The beach water at Temptation wasn’t her problem. Sounds as though she got in the water and when she got out she began to itch, and likely opening up her skin enough to invite bacteria into her system(germ are everywhere on our hands, hand washing is the best prevention to keep bacteria away, but that’s a joke. The other theory is that she already had an open area on her body, and again was itching and another invitation for bacteria. The ocean just wasn’t the culprit!! Hope she’s feeling better!!
