Been lurking too long, finally booked a trip to GP and going to get our feet wet - TTR and Desire are on the radar.. Lets see how the first experience goes -

Any current feedback about GP would be appreciated.

    Cheers!

When will you be there? We will be there 16th-23rd. It will be our first visit to GP but we have been to the other two. We totally recommend both.

    Thanks very much, Donald.

What are some samples of Pesos to carry, tip etc..

And.. Is it difficult to get a day pass to Temptations? We tried to book there but left it too late.. GP and Sens was our second choice and Desire if we drank a bottle of Cabo Wabo while bookin online!

    I order 100x 20 peso notes , and 50 x 50 peso notes ( about 425 CDN cost) from my personal bank .

For large purchase and booking excursions I use my travel credit card .

day or night passes for a couple is usually the same as a room at TTR .

Yes, tip what you feel is comfortable for you. I used to exchange money but now I just take a bunch of $5 bills and some $1s (U.S.) I think they like the U.S. as I think they get a better exchange than we do. But they are ALWAYS appreciative of tips. Our package is usually all inclusive which is supposed to include tips but we tip anyway!

The tipping worked well with 20s and 50s. I tipped in total about 3000 pesos and in return got ten times it's worth back. On the last day I gave 200 to each of the staff that took care of us - we plan on going back and hope to see the same wonderful people that spoiled us this time.

We tip $1 for drinks, $3 at breakfast or lunch, $5 at dinner. It makes a difference in their service, and we like to do this.

We've been about 4 times now. Love it. Let me know if you have any specific questions.
