As if we haven't had enough stormy weather (in Florida) this fall, the NHC is forecasting a tropical storm this weekend for Riviera Maya. We land tomorrow, and the as-of-yet unnamed storm is projected to pass by Friday and Saturday.

Is the Friday Boobs Cruise in jeopardy???

It's pretty rare that they cancel a boobs cruise, and normally it is only when the Coast Guard shuts everything down. The tropical storms aren't always as bad as you may think when watching the news or the weather channel.

If it was to get canceled, just make sure to check the site, your email, or facebook the morning of. Steve is very good at communicating.

ScubaSteve is correct. Any decision to cancel the boobs cruise is made by the coastguard, not ourselves and we don't normally find out until the morning of. As soon as we know ourselves then we get the word out via here and Facebook etc and also should be available at the hotel at meet up time if the roads are passable.

The storm currently on its way is not looking good unfortunately, although it seems like the worst of it wont be here until after the boobs cruise has already finished. But too early to say for sure as yet.

If cancellation is necessary we may re-arrange for Saturday if the weather looks better, the boat is available and we don't lose too many people.

Here's the usual graphic I post that auto updates every 4 hours. The storm seems to have slowed down a little as of the last update, which makes for a later arrival.

We are smack bang on target for it at the moment, but we'll need to see what it does once it hits land in Central America and after it re-emerges over water.

The local government issued a Blue Alert tonight - whatever that is!

I believe they have named the storm Nate. I can say from experience, if you are LUCKY enough to get caught in a torrential downpour during a Boob's Cruise, it will be an AMAZING experience!!! We we're there for the opening week and went out on the Boob's Cruise during what became Hurricane Harvey! Wind and rain were terrible but it made the ride one for the record books.

Thanks Keith. Although this one is just a baby, nothing to worry about.

In the 13 years we have been here we've been through about 20 of these. Kind of missing hurricanes, hasn't been one of note for about 10 yrs.

Not sure what will happen with this storm. Losing power was a daily routine but not much of an issue.

Disappointed the Boobs Cruise got cancelled today. What a great day. Looks like Nate will pass by tonight. Everything is business as usual at Temptation. Party on.

Very frustrated here too, second time it's happened since re-opening for what turned out to be largely false alarms. The weather didn't deteriorate until a couple of hours after the cruise would have got back, and even then it was just a sprinkle of rain and very light wind. Getting close to 11pm now and it's not raining at all with virtually zero wind where we are 5 miles away.

Hate having to cancel on 95 people and now the overspill has messed us up for Monday with about 20 people looking for spaces that aren't available due to selling out again. I had no choice in the decision, when the coastguard says no boat traffic there's no way of getting round it.

I never saw so much of an active season storm / hurricane this year. Water is warmer than usual and ours colder. I just hope everything will go well for everyone affected by all of this.

Sorry we missed you, Steve. I understand why you had to a cancel. Maybe next time.

Must be a nightmare mate, having to deal with this and try and keep people happy. Coastguard has final say, so no choice for you, but positive you will sort the best solution for the majority Well Done
