Did I miss the BBC broadcast by the time I got the RealPlayer downloaded?
It's on right now!!!
I'm listening to it.
Great Interview Steve and Kim!! You all stay safe! Lots of thought and prayers comin down to Cancun from Colorado.
ugh, I missed it
Excellent interview Steve and Kim!!!
I missed it, can't get on without the real player
Yeah it went OK. Apart from my almost coughing fit and vastly overestimated population of Chetumal
You did good! Keep safe and prayers coming your way.
The coughing wasn't that bad, Steve..just a couple of seconds although I'm sure it seemed like longer to you.
And no one expects you to be an expert on Chetumal.
I think you did great....the roving reporter has gone worldwild and I can say I knew you when you were just another English chap.
Its a coastal town of 150,000 right next to the Belizean border. Very little tourism there. Quite a high proportion of wooden buildings, at least compared to Cancun.
Doesnt look good.

Not much of a quote there, but that same reporter did that to me after Wilma. Nice link to the blog though.
Stay safe, all..
Are you still there? stupid question, but I wanted to know if the power went out. I know, I know, if you reply its because it has not
I think it is still on..at least in some places as Drewbert just posted in the Free For All.
If you look at the 11pm EST data at the NHC, we have a 0% chance of 50 knot winds reaching Cancun.
20% chance of winds between 34 and 50 knots.
What's we're getting now is probably as bad as it'll get for us.
Considering what we got from Wilma and how long we got it for, this isn't going to do much damage to Cancun. The sun will be out tomorrow, and we can put everything back together and get on with it.
Noticed a couple of brownouts early on, but nothing since.
If the power does go out, I have batteries and a generator, so as long as the phone line or cable internet stays on, I'm here.
Hang tough Drewbert. i like your attitude. Ill tell you what, Ill be back, I am going to Walmart to buy some last minute things for my trip on Wednesday to CANCUN!!!
Damn. Cable TV and Internet just went South.
Complete loss of signal.
And I'll be driving over!
I dont want to speak too soon, but there's really not much happening. right now. Unless it a far off generator I think I can hear a helicopter out there.
