Xplor is one of the Riviera Maya's "newest, coolest, hottest parks", as their billboards proclaim. It is true that Xplor has perfected adventure tourism. The park boasts 4 extreme activities: Zip lines over the jungle canopy, underground river rafts, snorkeling in the Stalactite River, and the amphibious ATVs that take you through the cenote cavern and through the jungle. When you arrive to Xplor you can choose which activities you would like to do. You have time to do all 4 plus re-do your 2 favorite. Public tours are a great way to save money and still get all the awesome adventure you crave. Our public tours are in small groups with only a few hotel stops so you'll get the most out of your day. Private tours offer the convenience and flexibility of having your own driver, setting your own pickup times and saving time by avoiding the other hotel stops. The only real difference in Public or Private Xplor tours is the transportation. Once you reach the park it is the same tour. The park is open from Monday to Saturday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. It is located adjacent to Xcaret Park in Playa del Carmen, about 1 hour drive south of Cancun. Kids age 5 to 11 years old receive the discounted child price. Minimum weight is 40 kg (88 lbs) and the maximum weight is 136 kg (300 lbs). Children aged less than 5 or weigh less than 40 kg will not be allowed to use the zip-lines. Only adults 18 years or older are allowed to drive the amphibious vehicles. You need to confirm your age by showing a valid I.D. card. Each vehicle holds up to 2 adults and 2 kids. Included in your entrance ticket to Xplor is all your gear, locker for 2, full buffet of fresh fruits, vegetables, juices and natural energy-boosting foods. Buffet is open from 11 AM - 5 PM. Bring some extra cash for the photos after the tour...you can get them on a USB or printed. This is the perfect tour for families with adventurous kids. Xplor has been awarded the Safety Standards Certificate for Zip Lines, among other awards for Safety. Check prices and book online here. Xplor has different rates for high season dates and low season dates. Basically high season is Spring Break, Summer Break & Christmas time. The rest of the year is low season.
