Adding photos to your post
You will need to have your photo hosted on some webspace. This could be free webspace from your ISP or you can host it at several different photo hosting sites. Not all photo hosting sites will allow 'hotlinking' (see below) webshots is one of those that doesnt. Some of those that do include:

and
http://www.photobucket.com/

Those above are free for a certain amount of space but once you go above that you may have to pay a small charge, or you could delete old photos to free up space and replace with new ones.

Once registered with them follow the instructions to upload photos from your hard drive to the webspace. You then need to find out the code to use, again you should select the bbCode version. Then just copy and paste this in to the appropriate part of your message and the photo should show. Try to keep photos to no more than 600 pixels wide, any wider and it can distort the board - meaning that on many monitors people will have to scroll horizontally to see the pic and also any written words.

It doesnt have to be a photo you can post custom graphics too - the sites above will host any type of image file and you just follow the same procedure.

Hotlinking
Hotlinking is when you link to a photo that is hosted on somebody elses webspace. Each time the photo is downloaded it uses some bandwidth from the person that hosts it, and they have to pay for bandwidth. Given that, it's really a bit of a no no, but it's not the most heinous crime in the world and as long as I dont get complaints I tend to turn a blind eye.

To do this you would find the photo, right click on it and read the properties data. You then copy the properties data and paste it into your message at the appropriate part. Highlight the properties data and click the button that says [img] that you can find just above the posting window.
