Cassinos em Cancún
Yes, there are casinos in Cancun. They are a night out rather than a reason to choose your hotel, and the choice is quite different from Las Vegas. The useful split is simple: Casino Macao is in the Hotel Zone at La Isla, while the larger cluster is Downtown.
If you want live roulette or blackjack, start with Macao, Jubilee or Palace and check the current table hours before travelling. If a few hours of slots or sports betting are enough, location may matter more than size.

Escolhendo um cassino
The simplest way to choose is by where you are staying and what you actually want to play:
| Casino | Onde | Melhor motivo para considerá-lo |
|---|---|---|
| Cassino Macau | La Isla II, Hotel Zone, Km 12.5 | The straightforward Hotel Zone choice; its own site lists live tables, slots and a sportsbook. |
| Cassino Jubileu | Av. Tulum, Downtown | A larger casino with live tables and slots; the casino advertises 24-hour opening, though live tables have shorter hours. |
| Palace Bingo & Sport Bets | Av. Tulum at Labná, Downtown | A second Downtown option for bingo, sports betting and casino games. |
| Casino By Yak | Plaza Las Américas, Downtown | A convenient shopping-centre stop if slots and sports betting appeal more than a grand casino night. |
These are not interchangeable. Macao saves a long cross-town trip if you are already in the Hotel Zone. Jubilee is the stronger Downtown choice for someone who specifically wants a larger live-table room. Palace and By Yak are worth comparing for a more local, less resort-like evening. Check each venue’s current hours and game schedule on its own channels before setting off; a casino may be open when the particular table you want is not.
The Hotel Zone: Casino Macao
If you are staying along the Hotel Zone, Casino Macao at La Isla II is the obvious place to look first. It is inside the La Isla shopping complex at Boulevard Kukulcán Km 12.5, so you can combine it with dinner or drinks without treating the casino as a whole expedition.
Macao lists roulette, blackjack, poker, craps, slots and a sportsbook. Expect a polished shopping-centre casino rather than a casino floor inside a resort. The mix of open tables can vary by time of day, so compare its current schedule if a particular game is the point of your trip.
Downtown: Jubilee, Dubai Palace and By Yak
Cassino Jubileu
The old Dubai Palace name is still all over the internet, but the Av. Tulum venue now operates as Jubilee Casino. If you want a bigger casino with live tables, this is the Downtown one I would compare first. Jubilee advertises blackjack, roulette, baccarat, craps and poker alongside a large slots floor, restaurant and sports bar.
The venue says it is open 24 hours, but its operator gives shorter hours for live tables. That distinction matters if you are heading Downtown late at night for blackjack rather than slots. The address is Av. Tulum, Supermanzana 8, Manzana 1, Lote 2.
Palace Bingo & Sport Bets
Palace Bingo & Sport Bets is another Av. Tulum choice, at the corner with Labná in the Downtown centre. The venue has bingo and sports betting as well as casino games. It is a sensible alternative to compare with Jubilee if you are already Downtown, especially if bingo or the sportsbook is part of the appeal.
Take care with similarly named search results: this is Palace Bingo & Sport Bets on Av. Tulum, not a hotel casino. The current operator gives the address as Av. Tulum at Jabalí and Labná, Supermanzana 20. Check the current game and poker-room timetable if either is the reason for your visit.
Casino By Yak at Plaza Las Américas
Casino By Yak is at Plaza Las Américas on Av. Tulum. This is the convenient choice if shopping, dinner or a film at the mall is already in your plans. It reopened under the By Yak name; the old Royal Yak name can still appear in searches and older reviews.
I would not travel across Cancun on the promise of a particular table game here. Compare its current game list and opening hours first, then decide whether the mall location makes it the right stop.
Antes de você ir
Age and ID. Casino gaming areas are for adults. Bring a current original photo ID; for an overseas visitor, a passport is the safest choice. Palace specifically says foreign visitors need a passport. Expect an entry check and possibly registration or a player card before gambling.
Cash and currency. Think in Mexican pesos, even if you brought dollars. Compare the casino’s posted exchange rate with a bank or ATM rate before changing money, and check any minimum stake and cash-out method at the cashier. Do not assume that every game, table or cashier accepts a bank card or dollars.
Dress, security and smoking. These are controlled indoor venues, not beach bars: wear ordinary going-out clothes and allow a little time for the entrance and ID check. Check a venue’s current smoking arrangement before going if it matters to you; policies and designated areas can change. The same applies to bag rules and photography.
Chegando lá. Macao is at La Isla in the Hotel Zone. The Downtown casinos are a separate trip from most beach hotels, so compare the fare and return journey before you leave. A licensed taxi or app ride is the simpler late-night option; agree the fare before boarding a taxi. Our Como se locomover em Cancún advice covers the wider transport choices.
A little history, and the honest verdict
Cancun’s casino scene has changed a lot. I remember when the games were electronic and there were no chips and no dealers: you bought paper credits from the cashier and entered a number into a machine. That is a memory of the early days, not a description of what every casino does now.
Some names from that period have disappeared, while others changed. Playboy Club has closed; Dubai Palace became Jubilee, and Royal Yak is now Casino By Yak. That is why an old “best casinos” list can send you to the wrong door. For the rest of a night out, see our Vida noturna de Cancún guia.
Cancun is not Vegas and hopefully it never will be. To me there is far too much to see, do and enjoy in Cancun than to while away those precious hours gambling in a dark casino.
But if a casino is your idea of a good evening, there are real options. Pick the right part of town, check that the game you want is running, take your ID and enjoy the night for what it is.
