Coco Bongo Cancun
Coco Bongo is Cancun’s big night out for people who want a show and a party in the same place. Expect acrobats, music, confetti and a packed nightclub atmosphere rather than a quiet theatre seat. If the show is your reason for going, pay close attention to where your ticket puts you.

It is loud, busy and gloriously over the top. You might love every minute of it; you probably would not want to visit every night of your vacation.
Compare the admission and Gold Member options below, then check the ticket details for your chosen night before booking.

What Coco Bongo Cancun is like
Upon entering and heading upstairs, you reach the stadium style nightclub. The nightclub consists of a main stage high up to the front with a central bar.
There are also convenient podiums for dancing on, two of which are high up either side of the stage for those exhibitionists.
Expect lights, air blasts and confetti, with performers appearing above and around the crowd as well as onstage.
The club also has different standing and seating areas. Your view and service depend on the ticket you choose.
On our visits, tipping your server early helped with service. That is a personal tip, not a promise that you will never queue for a drink.

The Coco Bongo show
The show begins around 11.00pm. It mixes tribute performances, live music, acrobatics and movie-inspired production numbers. The running order changes, so go for the overall spectacle rather than one particular act.
Set against a constant stream of bubbles, balloons, ticker tape, falling from the ceiling it’s a spectacular sight. Dancers and musicians keep the energy up between acts.
There are also circus-style aerial acts, with performers above the crowd as well as onstage.
Movie characters and other surprises may join the party. It is a nightclub show, so audience interaction is part of the atmosphere.
The stage show gives way to dancing and music later in the night. Coco Bongo’s current Cancun venue hours are 8:30pm to 3am, but check the time printed on your own admission.

Is Coco Bongo worth it?
All in all, Coco Bongo is not a place you’d probably want to visit every night of your vacation in Cancun. But if you enjoy a loud, extravagant show and a packed party, it is the sort of night you will remember. If you want a relaxed drink and room to talk, choose another Cancun night out.
Which Coco Bongo ticket should you choose?
Start with the experience you want: standard show admission or a Gold Member area with seating and dedicated service. Standard admission works if you are happy in the main crowd. Consider Gold if a seated view and shorter entry line matter more to you.
Check the exact admission area, included drinks, arrival instructions and transport on the listing before you book. Gold Member seating is within the Gold area; it is not a guaranteed front-row seat.
If you want to visit several bars rather than spend the evening at one show, see our Cancun nightlife guide for the wider choice.
Where is Coco Bongo Cancun?
Coco Bongo is in the heart of the Cancun Hotel Zone’s party centre, at Forum By The Sea near Km 9.5 of Boulevard Kukulcán.
There are also Coco Bongo venues in Playa del Carmen and Punta Cana. Choose the Cancun location when comparing tickets: they are separate venues.
Getting there and finding your way in
From the Hotel Zone, use Uber, a taxi or the Hotel Zone bus to reach the party centre. For a late return, plan your ride before you go; our getting around Cancun guide covers the main transport choices.
Leave time to find the correct ticket line and viewing area. If you have a Gold ticket, arriving close to its stated check-in time gives you more choice within that area.
Before you go
The Cancun night show is for ages 18 and over, and the venue asks for valid photo ID. Its separate early show for younger visitors is in Playa del Carmen, not Cancun.
Arrive early enough for your ticket’s check-in instructions, especially if your view matters. Wear comfortable shoes: the show lasts for hours and standard admission may mean standing for much of it.
Expect a loud, crowded venue with stairs and several viewing levels. The venue is unsuitable for wheelchairs. If step-free access or a seat is essential, check the precise option’s written access details before paying.
